    Description

    Forged with 2 slashes near the rowel - 1st and last photos show this:
    They each encircle the stem behind the heel completely.
    This will accommodate a boot that is 2-3/4 inches wide (this is the widest measure on the open gap).
    A magnet will not stick to anything except the rowel - as a result the only oxidation is on the rowel.
    It is likely steel or iron.
    The brass areas are dull, but the patina is only surface-deep - I resisted the urge to shine anything up.
    It is heavy for size and still viable - could be worn instantly.
